Documents needed for repatriation to Italy

To begin the repatriation from Perth to Italy, the following documents are required:

Complete and submit our online forms under Repatriation Documents to allow us to take the deceased into our care.
Original passport held by the deceased or Italian Identity Card.
Original death certificate with an Apostille and translation into Italian.
Coroner’s report with translation in Italian.
Appointment of a receiving agent or funeral director in Italy.

Documents required by the Consulate General of Italy in Melbourne must be emailed at least two weeks in advance and presented at your appointment.

Please note that you must arrange a receiving agent in your country for all repatriations from Perth.

We arrange flights to the most appropriate airport in Italy, considering the final resting place of your loved one and the preferences of the family. As we cannot fly into every airport, please expect a delay if road transport is necessary. This can be organised through your receiving agent.
