Documents needed for repatriation to Bosnia and Herzegovina

To proceed with the repatriation of the deceased, the following documents are required:

Completion and submission of our online forms found under Repatriation Documents enables us to take the deceased into our care.
The deceased’s original passport from their country of birth.
The Bosnia embassy requires more documentation for the Funeral Certificate including a ‘Request for Transfer to Bosnia and Herzegovina’, and one of the following; ‘Request for transfer to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina’, ‘Request for transfer to the Republic of Srpska’ or ‘Request for transfer to Brčko District BiH.
Appointment of a receiving agent or funeral director in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bellrae staff are available to assist you in gathering these documents and can provide support either at our office or in the comfort of your home.

Please note that you will need to organise a receiving agent in your country for all repatriations from Perth.

Procuring a Funeral Certificate from the Bosnian Embassy.

Airline fees: From $3,922*

Perth to Bosnia with Turkish Airlines via Sarajevo: $13,269*.

Perth to Bosnia with Qatar Airlines via Zagreb: $3,922*.

Bellrae Mortuary Services coordinates all flight arrangements for your loved one’s repatriation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, closely working with airlines to comply with all transport requirements.

Should family members wish to accompany the deceased on their final journey, we will provide flight details for the family to book.

We arrange flights to the most appropriate airport in Bosnia and Herzegovina, considering the final resting place of your loved one and the preferences of the family. As we cannot fly into every airport, please expect a delay if road transport is necessary, this can be organised through your receiving agent.

Airline fees are subject to change. The above price is quoted at 250kg for Turkish Airlines (their minimum weight) and 150kg for Qatar Airlines.
